I agree with with CB, Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor and I also get tired of the serious, depressing, dark movies and parts getting all the awards. His quote…
“It’s about time narcissistic, accolade-seeking idiotic actors were formally recognized,” deadpans Downey about his nomination, speaking from the Brooklyn, N.Y., set of Sherlock Holmes. “It’s been a long, hard road for us.”

It’s Show BUSINESS – if they want ratings (and therefore people wnating to see the movies) go with Dark Knight, Leo and Kate, Pitt and Jolie (and pull a few strings to get Jen to present). Who cares who’s hosting, etc – give the people what they want!
