Expect the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to spread the wealth
among several movies when it hands out the Golden Globe awards Jan. 11.
Nomination magnets The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Vicky
Cristina Barcelona may emerge victorious in the Best Picture
categories, but Slumdog Millionaire’s Danny Boyle should still snag
Best Director.
I’m going with veterans Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler) and
Dustin Hoffman (Last Chance Harvey) for Best Actor in a drama and
comedy, respectively, while double Best Actress nominee Meryl Streep
could very well lose twice, to Revolutionary Road’s Kate Winslet and
Happy-Go-Lucky’s Sally Hawkins.
And while the supporting actress
competition is a toss-up (our guess: Penelope Cruz), the only question
mark in the supporting actor race is who’ll accept the award for The
Dark Knight’s late Heath Ledger.

Never!. Meryl Streep never will lose this award to Kate Winslet or another nominated. That would be a nonsense!.
I really want Sally Hawkins to win! She definatley deserves it.
And I heard a rumor that Jake Gyllenhaal will accept it for him. That would be great.

she deserves this award because she has demonstrated her outstanding acting skills, in every episode she was in. two episode I would like to point out is season 9 "undercover"… thats an award winning eppy or should be.. another season 10 episode is "Wildlife"!
Law and Order SVU.. alone deserves its own tv station & channel!

i REALLY would love Penelope Cruz to win after i fell in love with her for her work in,’Volver’ but that year, she had a lot of competition. it’d be great to see her win. Also, Kate Winslet, I feel like this is her year!
